Learn more about this amazing technology and how it can benefit your practice. The second half of the day you will learn how to use your patients medical insurance to help them get reimbursed for some of the procedures that you are doing in your practice today by someone that has worked in the medical insurance industry as well as dentistry. She will help you understand why most dentists can’t get their submittals approved and the steps necessary to help both you and your patients.

About the Presenters

Dr. Don Tyndall
Dr. Don Tyndall

Dr. Don Tyndall is Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry at the UNC School of Dentistry. He received his D.D.S. in 1980 from the UNC School of Dentistry, his M.S.P.H. in Radiological Hygiene and Medical Physics from the UNC School of Public Health in 1984, and his Ph.D. in Health Physics and Radiation Biology from UNC in 1988.

He has won several awards for teaching excellence at UNC. Dr. Tyndall has been the Director of Radiology for the School of Dentistry from 1988 to the present and serves as the course director for two pre-doctoral radiology courses. Dr. Tyndall has also served as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Radiation Protection Commission from 1988 to 2005 and as Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Graduate Program at the School of Dentistry from 1993 to 2006. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and was a Director and past President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Tyndall is currently the Councillor for Scientific Affairs and Public Policy of the Executive Council of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

Dr. Tyndall holds memberships in such organizations as the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, The International Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and the International Association for Dental Research. His research interests include: 3-D digital imaging, implant radiology, applications of cone beam computed tomography in dentistry and the use of computers in image processing. His work has been published in more than 85 journal articles.

Christine Taxin
Christine Taxin

Christine Taxin has over 20 years as a practice management professional. Her passion for communication, team training, and vision and goal setting has helped many practices meet their potential, and increase their profitability. She helps each team member develop latent strengths to improve performance and effectiveness.

Ms.Taxin’s varied strengths include specialties in administrative systems, internal and external marketing, financial planning, and medical and dental insurance cross code billing, in addition to consulting with medical and dental professionals.

Christine collaborates with many of the country’s top consultants and lecturers. This powerful networking keeps her well-informed and at the forefront of dentistry, allowing her to work with the best in the industry and pass the learning along to her clients. She has delivered a number of workshops within the industry and loves working with groups ready to take on the next challenge.

Prior to starting her own management consulting company, Christine worked for a large New York City hospital as administrator of a critical department, managed an extensive practice, and worked with Coaching Solutions, and Dynamic Administrators consulting companies. She has taken training in management at LVI, is a proud member Coach Training Alliance, Speakers Consulting Network and Career Flow Facilitator.
